Using investigation methods she learned from Mac, Shay begins a search that takes her halfway across the country. But will it lead to the knowledge she craves or to even more questions?
A BIT ABOUT MAC & SHAY... and me
In January, it will be one year since the first book in the Mac & Shay series was published. It has been an exciting year as I rolled out five books - one book each month from January through May - while working on Book #6, SCATTERED SEEDS. For those who might not be aware, I began writing the series in 2020, finishing roughly one book a year before beginning publication. And now, the sixth book is available.
As I take a short break and look back, I'm feeling much gratitude for all the people who have advised, encouraged, prodded and pushed me along a path I'd always dreamed about but never expected to travel. There have been so many who believed - even when I didn't. To them, and to the many readers who have discovered and embraced Mac & Shay... THANK YOU! Nothing warms my heart more than when a reader talks about my characters as if they were real-life friends. After five years, there are many days I feel that way, too.
As dependable, pragmatic Mac moves steadily toward his dreams of a traditional home and family and a safer, saner society, Shay will continue her chaotic search for identity and purpose. But their lives are changing and growing - with many more surprises in store!
I've recently begun planning Book #7 - an episode that will challenge Shay's entire concept of family while solidifying Mac's beliefs. And, of course, there will be murder and mayhem as well.
